18-12-2014·It sounds like you're in the UK, where available wood species are different, but limewood (we call it basswood in the US) isn't great for CNC carving. It's soft and stringy, and leaves a lot of "fur" on the cut surfaces. Maple, walnut, cherry, pear all work better.
